We can provide oak stable doors with glazed panels, those suitable for conservation areas, smart panelled doors or practical stable doors. These are all authentically styled in either traditional or contemporary designs. Whichever style you choose, every door is hung on robust, fully adjustable hinges. We ensure that it is colour co-ordinated to the door threshold. Our doors are secure, with strong insurance rated locking mechanisms. These feature robust bolts, night latches, deadlocks and five lever anti-snap euro cylinder sash locks.

The doors feature clean, understated lines and are finished with crisp, current ironmongery. An etched glass effect window could also be chosen to provide privacy and offer something a little more unique. There is an option to have your house number reversed out.
Every timber stable door is hand-finished, with hundreds of traditional shades and timber stains available. This includes RAL colours and shades, complementary to those from the Farrow & Ball, Fired Earth and Osmo ranges. We also offer the option to vary the colour on the inside of the door.
It can match your internal decor. All of our doors come with high specification glazing, fitted as standard. Our paint and protection finishes ensure a long life with very low maintenance, giving you absolute peace of mind.
The top half of a door is able to open, whilst the lower half can stay closed. You can also open both segments at the same time as a normal residential door. Functional and stylish, the opening arrangement allows you to keep an eye on children and pets outside, and let air in or out.
Despite being constructed in two opening panels, Woodland Joinery stable doors are fitted with a multi locking point mechanism for reliable security. We ensure the highest quality security features which are fitted as standard, plus latching lock bolts. You can also only open the top section when answering the door, which is safer.
Like standard doors at first look, a stable door is however split into two halves. There is an upper and lower half and you can open both sections individually or at the same time. This offers convenience and safety.
It is all about personal choice. Stable doors can be crafted to open either inwards or outwards. This will depend on your requirements, what you need and space restrictions.
There are two sections to hang- the top and bottom. Two weather mouldings, a door handle and a bolt to hold the doors to each other will be installed as part of the stable door. There are also bolts or locks to hold each door closed. The bottom section of the stable door is often installed first. The top half of the door is then rested on that and hung afterwards.
